World Youth Assembly
20 to 22nd of April 2022
Geneva, Switzerland
Your voice counts!
Geneva Youth Call (GYC) organized the very first World Youth Assembly in Geneva this April 2022.
The event was held at the United Nations Office in Geneva and at Geneva University.
Independent of any state representation, young people reflectes as Youth Representatives on current challenges and elaborated concrete solutions regarding our first theme: the Environment, divided into 8 sub-themes such as promoting the development of sustainable cities or preserving marine biodiversity.
Young people from all around the world participated in workshops to develop concrete solutions with the help of scientific and field experts as well as inspiring personalities, in-person or online.
The solutions developed during these sessions have been implemented in the World Youth Charter, a tool for action and advocacy that was handed over to Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva on the 8th of June 2022.
